Sorry Bill, this version of Liz Reed was performed in 1979 during the tour for Enlightened Rogues. That is David Goldflies on bass. He was with them for about 3 years. Played with the Dickie Betts Band for a year after that and then was gone. You can hear of Barry licks in there, though. He did a nice job.
I don't mind them saying "country influence" but that is more obvious on other AB songs. I do wish they would point out the jazz influence, especially on this particular song, which is very much influenced by Miles Davis. That's almost certainly Barry Oakley on bass.
I feel this song, any version, is the Allmons at their very best. It brings back the early 70's motorcycle rides back in my mind. The Live version on Direct TV Concert Series with Dickey Betts son on lead is also very good.

I really enjoy the energy in this version. Not sure when this is from, but whoever's playing the bass is ABSOLUTELY tearing it up. Both solos are also freaking awesome
I prefer the intensity of the 1971 version, This version I appreciate for different reasons, as in more improve. Perhaps It has something to do with my first expeirence of hearing this song which is the 1971 version. I pick this song out almost randomly from a jukebox with a limited selection of songs, let alone INSTRUMENTALS. I got impatient trying to find a familar song. HA HA ha ha Ha
