I'm not sure about his other songs, but I just heard the song "Parrots" from Sunlight Loping, and he sounded uncannily like Nick Cave on that track... Another good artist you all should check out if you haven't yet.

First time hearing this guy. He sounds OK so far, but not like Dave. DMB shows are amazingly fun and I don't even wear Birkenstocks :)
I guess his voice does sound a little like Dave Matthews, but not as weird (sorry Dave--I know your Birkenstock- w e a r i n g fans will give me hell for profaning your name).

I like DMB quite a lot, but Alexis doesn't seem to be one that should be compared to him/them as I think of Alexis more along the lines of very thought-prov o k i n g , fun, creative w/lyrics & music...I totally dig Alexis and if he must go into a "category" i would have to say early Dylan, Joni, Iron & Wine...hmmm, i would have to ponder this more ;) - so happy to see alexis here!

Nice! I first heard Sam Beam at ROTHBURY and really enjoyed his music, so I created an Iron & Wine station. Well, that station has lead me to Alexis Harte. Thanks Pandora!

BTW, I also went to DMB at ROTHBURY and found DMB to very entertaining and can see why so many people enjoy his shows.

Brilliant guitarist. I like this guy.

But all the DMB haters should actually go have a listen, especially to the live stuff. That's a seriously talented group (minus 1 in Leroi Moore, RIP).
