I feel really bad for all of those people that did not make it. I was not even born yet but I can tell what it felt like I love alan Jackson. If you like this on listen to God bless the USA by Lee Greenwood it is really good to.
This song is SO special. It describes perfectly what it was like that day and in the days after. I was sobbing my heart out the first time I heard this song. It's like a piece of our history and I hope it becomes a classic so Americans will never forget what happened that day (like Pearl harbor).
I was just a baby and woke up when the first one went in

Putting sheathing on a roof of of a house in Mesa AZ. I saw the fighter jets bringing the airliners into Sky Harbor Airport. Sickest feeling I've ever had. God Bless us ALL...
yeah country is the only genre that will mention praying to god, going to church and being a believer. and those songs are openly played on the radio without fear of 'offending' another religion
It was the day my dad opened his business! I was just a little kid. I had no idea what was going on, but I was scared for my dad. Pray for the soldiers and heros who died that day and their families. Thank God for the heros and soldiers that are still here with us, fighting for our lives!
Country Music is so much better than any modern music; it gives you songs like this; truly poignant, something we all can relate with. I was 3 during the 9/11 attacks; they scar me to this day.

That morning I was on my way to work to Wall Street and I was going to stopped at Border's bookstore at the WTC to buy a book for my mother. I changed my mind because I was running late for work by the time i got to work the planes had hit the towers, I ran down stairs (38 floors) & an walked home covered in that black ash. I still work a block away from WTC and still with me everyday.
i lost my boyfriend, Luke and best friend, Jesse, in 9/11. Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of them. I miss them so much. R.I.P Luke and Jesse!
Listening to this song somtimes makes people wonder why they didn't go to their job in one of the twin towers and if your one of those people, god has his reasons for the reason you wheren't there.
I remember when this song first came out. Every radio station in knoxville TN played it. I remember crying when I heard it. It still gives me chills listening to this awesome song.
still gives me chills. he hits it exactly how so many of us felt when this tragedy happened. I will never forget where I was when the world stopped turning
I remember too. I was in 1st grade, and we had just finished singing 'Happy Birthday' to one of my friends when one of the kids from the other class ran in and yelled, "Turn on the TV!" When we saw what was happening, we were shocked, but I don't think we really knew what was going on.
I remember every single thing about that day. Every little detail. I can still see one of the big bosses standing on a desk with a radio held high in the air, cause that was the only way we could get any station to come in clear. I watched more TV in the next couple days, then I had for a year.
