Punk to the core, yet with audible influences from early heavy metal and surf rock, Agent Orange formed in Fullerton, California at the end of the '70s, with vocalist/guitarist Mike Palm, bassist James Levesque, and drummer Scott Miller. The first Agent Orange record, released in 1981 on Posh Boy Records in the midst of Southern California's already hectic hardcore community, cemented their reputation as one of the best skate-punk bands around the area. Two EPs during the next few years were all the band released until 1986's This Is the Voice, for Restless/Enigma. A much less energetic LP with brighter melodies and an emphasis on vocal audibility, it was also Agent Orange's last for quite awhile, except for a 1990 live record. The group was resurrected later in the decade, touring the world and recording the 1996 LP Virtually Indestructible. In 2000 Cleopatra released Greatest and Latest, a collection of songs from Agent Orange's catalog re-recorded by the band with three new songs, which was later reissued in 2004 on the Anarchy Music label under the title Blood Stained Hitz. In between these two identical issues, Restless released a two-disc best-of titled Sonic Snake Session, which chronicled many of the group's defining moments in one set. ~ John Bush, Rovi
Went to Jr High and HS with Mike and James. Knew Scott later on, great guy, James too. They won't talk to Mike as of the last time I saw them - Mike, I dunno what happened - went to JR High with the guy and all their early shows and acts like he doesn't know me - BFD
Saw them at Toe's Tavern in Pasadena back in the early 90's! One of the best, high energy concerts I've ever experienced. Also saw them at the LA Street Scene in '86, it got so crazy they only got to play one a half songs!
Don't know if this has been explained yet or not but in the song, Blood stains the word in the lyrics is scene. It's basically is inferring that there is no more music scene and that the band can't find work.
saw these guys play a show 5 years back in an out of business movie theater and only like 20 people showed up to see them, and they still played with so much raw energy you'd think they were playing for a sold out arena...incredible

Skate ALL day listening to them! @Jim Harris, YES! Bones Brigade!
Love this god damn band. Drank beer with them in Chico, during their show in the late 80s / early 90s. Thanks to the Bones Brigade videos for the introduction. Blasting Agent Orange from my ragtop Nova on my way to Santa Cruz. Pure heaven.

I've got some really happy memories of skating and listening to agent orange when I was younger. I was really thrilled when they came to play a show at the club I tended bar at in 2006 in New Orleans. I was able to hang out with the guys after the show and reminisce about the good old days while we burned a J. Nice guys, good show, good times.
I was at Upland Pipeline skatepark when they filmed Gator for that old Vision video and Agent Orange was jamming around the combi-pool... i was the only other person skating the pool cuz everyone was just letting Gator do his thing....but i was like 14 and didnt give a shi% who was skating...i'm dropping in !!!
