The new age duo 2002 consists of Texas-based multi-instrumentalists/vocalists Pamela and Randy Copus. Both husband and wife had an early interest in music: Pamela started piano lessons at age six and went on to study keyboards, flute, piccolo, oboe, guitar, violin, and the bagpipes, while Randy studied voice, guitar, piano, keyboards, trumpet, tuba, and guitar before learning about recording and production. Randy worked as a recording engineer, session musician and vocalist, producer, and composer in studios in New York, L.A., New Orleans, Dallas, and Austin before forming 2002 with Pamela in the early '90s. Their 1992 debut album, Wings, introduced the duo's lush arrangements, epic choral vocals, and spacious productions. Releases like 1995's Savitri, 1997's Chrysalis, 1998's Land of Forever, and 2000's River of Stars defined them as one of the '90s most distinctive new age talents. Keeping busy in their namesake year, 2002 released their first career retrospective, The Sacred Well, as well as a new album, Across an Ocean of Dreams. The duo discussed changing their name once the year had passed, but in 2003 This Moment Now appeared with their original moniker intact. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
There are some wonderful people posting on this music site.. Wish I knew you all better. Peace everybody. Soothing music that helps me fall asleep with my big white purring next to me. Ahhhh
I was unaware of this artist/group, but very lucky to have been introduced to them so I can enjoy another avenue of honesty and music. I will share this with other's, although I may look the novice for just now knowing who they may have been talking about in past.......oh well......I can't always be the immediate healer, but I can be the old bandage. :)
only in texas....I'm a Scottish Texan. Could not be anything better!

Simply beautiful. Dan McKinnon, I'm so very sorry for your loss. How wonderful to have loved and shared your lives for so long. Remeber also she's saving you a seat. I've recently lost a very dear friend and there's just a huge hole in my heart, but he said he would save me a seat. I am truly fortunate to have known such an amazing and caring individual. AND Mentorjm, my heart goes out to you, too. And somehow our lives go on.
An Ocean Apart. The album cover is the color of one of my eyes and th other is green but when I'm in love they both go a deep ocean blue like the color of this album. That would be more Cobalt blue wouldn't it? I don't know but this song is really beautiful.
this brings me closer to my wife of 53 years who passed almost two years ago ... I can feel her presence nearby ... wonderful ...

I've been listening to 2002 for many years, as I work in the Observatory, photographic and visual observing. I feel like the Universe is singing to me. ;)

This may not be the song to hear when your away from your wife of whom you have spent the last 45 years of your life with. Tough not tearing up and missing her a lot. I have been blessed and this lonely time to will pass. Jim
Liquid Platinum: Pam and Randy Copus (2002) have been married for over 28 years. They both have musical history back to childhood. Pam was in her high school band and played in the Woodwind section and although no one knew it but her, she never learned to read music - now that's talent! Their first release was WINGS some 19 years ago. They started signed with Real Music and have had their own label now for a few years. Every sound you hear on any of their music the two of them recorded,

Today I have needed healing and it came through on pandora as I discovered your music.

I really like their sound. Despite their name it's obvious they go back a way. As ambient is easy to copy by a lot of New Millennium artists. They have a more distinctive and seasoned style showing that they've been at it for a good while.
