Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman traveled around the world, recording what they found and collaborating with musicians from all over for both a CD and DVD. The results came under the banner of 1 Giant Leap, and featured a CD with appearances from Michael Stipe and Robbie Williams, and a DVD that featured Kurt Vonnegut and Dennis Hopper. The album and DVD saw release in 2002. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
I agree luddite. I think this should be included in every school curriculum. Maybe - just maybe - the entitled generation would have a different view of things.
This is one of the best albums I've ever owned. I cannot listen to it "in the background," because it's too emotionally intense and involving. Holds up to many, many listens, a fantastic collaboration of excellent artists from around the world. Seriously, this is a "if you could have only one on a desert island" type of record. I can't recommend it more highly.

What a horribly small write up for a fantastic piece of work. Not to mention they've left out all information about the second album/DVD What About Me?

I must own this immediately.
